Frequently Asked Questions

Why add acrobat reader dc to sccm catalog?

By adding the Adobe catalog for Acrobat Reader DC to Configuration Manager, you can deploy updates for Adobe natively without using SCUP. How do i add or import adobe custom catalog in sccm?

Some catalogs are freely available, and some catalogs have an additional cost associated with them. Before you add or import Adobe custom catalog in SCCM, you need the Adobe catalog download URL. The Adobe custom catalogs are provided by Adobe itself. Visit the Adobe SCCM SCUP catalogs site to download the custom catalog URL for Adobe Reader.

How to deploy adobe reader updates using sccm?

Deploying Adobe Reader Updates Using SCCM. Syntax – “ msiexec /update msipatchname.msp /qn (OR) msiexec /p msipatchname.msp /qn. Specify the name for the program, enter the command line msiexec /p AdbeRdrUpd110006.msp /qn and click Next. We now see that the Adobe Patch package is created.

What is the difference between sccm package and adobe package?

When referring to a package created with SCCM, we say SCCM package unless the context is very clear, when we may say just package. When referring to a package created by the Creative Cloud Packager, we say Adobe deployment package or Adobe package. We never use the term package alone to mean an Adobe package.
